To make life easier, I search for them and these are the spec lists.
acer:

They seem to be much allike, the asus has speakers the acer doesn't seem to have anny.
Out of personal experiance, I would rather go for the asus then the acer. But thats cause my experiance with acer isn't that good.
Also seems like the acer is cheaper then the asus.

To really pick one, I should have to see both next to each other...

Is it purely for games and watching videos, if so that's fine, both seem to have plenty of people who are happy with them. Acer maybe has slight fewer negative reviews which is surprising with Acer being more a budget brand compared to Asus.

If you do lots of other things on it you should consider a 24" 1920x1200 resolution (16:10 aspect) - you get much more screen space and its much nicer to use. As I do more web browsing and work on my PC I wouldn't consider a 1080 monitor, so it depends on what you want to use it for. Remember, just because its 27 inch doesn't mean you get more on screen - it all just bigger - makes it easier though to get those constant headshots

"only" 24" but its 144mzh and 1ms instead... wroooomm
