Website Errors! Font size big / other problems???

If your font size is big, no idea how it happend, no idea how to fix it yet.
Seems at this moment bug only happens in Firefox.

Trying to fix it, will keep you all posted.

I dont have a big font size but the forum is a bit messed up.

Did you reinstall a new forum and then add the lucid lime style or is everything exactly the same as it was before.

Although the styles folder contains much of the style information, there are other files in the php that were changed to make the style work correctly... that is why the Home Page, about us etc look fine but the forum is messed up. Do you still have a copy of all the original files? I can then try to remember which ones were changed.

So what has been changed / done so far... when you say you havent changed anything... are we still on the old system and old db?

The no background thing though was just from your work pc wasn't it because you use IE7 or 8? I thought it was ok when you viewed it at home. I seem to remember thinking that old IE users (pre- IE 9) would have to live with it as I couldn't test without uninstalling IE 9.

Just reinstalled chrome again and yes I do have big font.

Problem is, I've got some urgent work on until the weekend that will keep me too busy to go through all the files and try to fix it all up again... might have to live with it until the weekend. At least it's still working, even if it does look ugly

Just also installed that crappy firefox and same large font on their too. Strange that font size is correct in IE.

No worries I'm working on a solution.
I didn't port annything yet. Everything is still on the old db, and on the old webspace.
All I did was go in the config file to see what the login for the db was. But didn't change annything, so don't see how that could do annything about it...

When the bug showed up, I ran xml validater on it, and it found allot of html mistakes... (site is not xHTML valid).
So thats probably the reason why the website acts differend on differend browsers, cause every browsers acts differend when a site isn't xHTML valid.

At this moment I fixed a couple of those mistakes, but don't seem to fix it or make it wors.

Annyway do you still got the original files? Cause a backup I had didn't make a difference...

Are you using an online validation page? They throw up loads all the time. Try microsoft.com or google.com and you will get loads of validation errors.

The home, about & servers pages are the same on all browsers and work correctly, though I have instructions in the CSS to display different settings depending on the browser because of how browsers handle css differently.

It's just the forum that doesn't display the same on all browsers because it was difficult to incorporate a forum within the main page of the site using the same header and footers and the info bar on the left. None of the browsers worked in the same way with the forum software.
No problem with the code for the main part of the site but the forum does use a different CSS file to the rest of the site and that could be where the problem lies if somehow its got altered... it does look like some of css errors I came across when first making the site.

Yes I do have a back up of the entire site... I just need to dig them out.

I know allot of sides return errors . But I learned to use xhtml strict and its possible making them without errors .

What I did had from time to time was that it loaded big font but refreshing fixed it... but why it now stays like this is a big question mark for me aswell...

Ahhh, well Delete has been on the forum a lot lately... who knows what he's capable off... I'm sure he could accidently hack the website and insert some of his porn links that would screw up the page
